Factors Influencing Gender Inequality in Land and Property Ownership Among Peri-Urban Women in Minna, Nigeria

This study investigates the factors influencing gender inequality in land and property ownership among peri-urban women Minna, Nigeria. The data for this came from 622 12 localities of 25 neighborhoods A closed-ended questionnaire was administered by field assistants with aid mobile collection application called kobotool. Descriptive statistics such as frequency count proportion methods were used describing respondents’ socio-demographic patterns, level ownership, mode acquisition. Inferential statistical techniques also employed to analyze collected chi-square relative importance index. test examined whether underlying socio-demographic/economic characteristics two groups respondents (Women without Property Women ownership) are independent terms ownership. identified others religious beliefs orientations Economic financial constraints index 0.7412 0.7218 respectively, core constituting obstacles access land/property respondents. recommends legislation state house assembly on inclusion issues relating belief, empowerments areas.
